Geological Summary

Rocks of Karmutsen and Quatsino Formations are intruded by Island and Sooke Intrusions. Gold mineralization is localized in quartz veins within regional shear zone/faults. Gold is associated with pyrite, chalcopyrite, pyrrhotite and sphalerite. Alteration halos of chlorite and silicification are associated with the shear zones.
