Geological Summary
Four sequences (Devonian-Mississippian phyllite; Mississippian- Permian quartzite; Mississippian-Permian quartzite, phyllite and schist; Mississippian-Pennsylvanian and Permian diorite, basalt gabbro and serpentinite) were folded and thrust in the Post-Permian age and later metamorphosed. Several phases of faulting provided channels for gold-quartz veins generally with low quantities of sulphides.
