Geological Summary
The geology of the Kalum claim consists of a package of sedimentary and tuffaceous rocks with interbedded flows of the Lower Cretaceous Bowser Lake Group. Bedding generally strikes north- easterly to easterly and dips to the north. The rocks have been moderately to strongly deformed and metamorphosed. Small scale tight folding and local recumbent folds can be seen at most outcrops. Mafic and felsic dykes cut through both sedimentary and volcanic units. Gold and copper mineralization occurs along small quartz veins and narrow fractures within small shear zones and in structurally controlled zones of epidote-hematite alteration.
