Geological Summary
An Eocene dioritic stock intrudes northwesterly trending Upper Triassic Karmutsen Formation volcanics and Quatsino Formation limestone and felsic volcaniclastics of the Lower Jurassic Bonanza Group. A west-northwesterly zone of auriferous pyrite-quartz- chlorite lenses is hosted by a gabbroic phase of the Head Bay Stock. The zone, which dips moderately to the south, is exposed for 38 metres along strike. Individual lenses grade up to 201 grams per tonne gold, and the zone averages 4.4 grams per tonne gold across 1.5 metres.
