The presently known mineralized shoot lies within a shear zone up to 4.6 metres wide. As indicated by drilling the shear zone is near the contact between a feldspar porphyry apophysis of the Cretaceous-Jurassic Nelson Batholith and the enclosing Jurassic- Triassic Slocan Group sediments.
