Geological Summary |
The general geology of the region shows it to be underlain by the Lower Jurassic Guichon Batholith. This is a multistage felsic intrusive. The intrusive is composed mainly of granites and granodiorites with porphyritic, pegmatitic, gabbroic and gneissic mafic phases. The showings visited appear to be located near the boundary between the Guichon Batholith and granitized and hornfelsed metasedimentary rocks.
