The property is underlain by rocks of the Devonian-Mississippian Eagle Bay Formation which is comprised of a strongly deformed volcano- sedimentary package that has been regionally metamorphosed to lower greenschist facies. The rocks consist of intermediate-felsic fragmental volcanics with lesser amounts of intercalated sediments.
