Geological Summary |
The claim is underlain by porphyritic volcanics, tuffaceous sediments and epliclastic volcanic conglomerates of the Lower Jurassic Bonanza Group. These rocks have been intruded by monzonite and hornblende diorite of the Lower-Middle Jurassic Island Intrusions. Locally the volcanic and intrusive rocks are weakly pyritic and sericitic.
