Geological Summary
The property straddles a northerly trending splay of the Fraser River Fault that brings in contact clastic sedimentary rocks of the Cretaceous Jackass Mountain Group with basaltic to rhyolitic volcanic rocks of Eocene age. A small plug of Upper Cretaceous-Lower Tertiary granodiorite intrudes the Jackass Mountain Group. A 2.5 kilometre by 500 metre wide zone of intense silicification and argillization occurs in the Jackass Mountain Group rocks and granodiorite. This zone parallels the main fault.
