Mt. Davidson, at the southern end of the Fawnee Range, consists of a volcanic pile of rhyolite, andesite, argillite and their associated tuffs and breccias covered by glacial drift at lower elevations. Theses are identified as Tertiary Ootsa Lake Group or possibly Lower Jurassic Hazelton Group.
