Geological Summary
The claims are underlain by Devonian-Mississippian black phyllites, Mississippian-Permian micaceous quartzite and Permian limestone. The rock units are folded by northwest trending folds. There are several gold-bearing quartz veins with pyrite, galena and sphalerite. Copper stained quartzites outcrop in the north part of the claims. Boulders of brecciated, coarse sphalerite vein quartz and quartzite occur in Sugar Creek.
