Geological Summary |
The property is underlain by Lower Cretaceous metavolcanic and metasedimentary rocks of the Britannia pendant. Extensive chalcopyrite-pyrite-sphalerite stringer systems below copper and zinc-rich dacitic ash beds were discovered in numerous old pits and adits. A second, possibly lower, mineralized cherty ash tuff unit is situated stratigraphically above a silica-flooded andesite.
