Geological Summary |
The region is underlain by sediments and volcanics of the Devonian-Mississippian Sylvester Group. Low angle thrust faults and normal east striking faults are the dominant structural features. Gold-bearing quartz veins occur in greenstones, dip steeply south and have extensive wall rock alteration envelopes of pyrite and ankerite.
