Geological Summary
Tertiary felsic volcanic rocks of the Ootsa Lake Group are in fault contact with sedimentary and volcanic rocks of the Takla Group. Several large areas of epithermal silicification contain weakly anomalous to low grade gold and silver values; ore grade gold-silver values are associated with one north-trending zone centered about a silicified breccia zone. Ore controls may be associated with northeast and north trending fault zones.
