Geological Summary
Lower Jurassic Hazelton Group volcanic and sedimentary rocks are overlain by Cretaceous Kasalko Group volcanic and sedimentary rocks. This sequence is intruded by Late Cretaceous stocks and dykes. Northwest to northeast trending faults and shears cut the rock groups. Epithermal alteration (clay and silica) occurs around the stocks. Pyrite, sphalerite, galena and chalcopyrite mineralization occurs as veins and disseminations in altered rocks.
