Geological Summary |
The region is underlain by andesitic to basaltic and minor rhyolitic rocks ranging in age from Early Mesozoic to Miocene. Sedimentary rocks are rare. Structural trends in the volcanics are uncertain, but topographic lineaments suggest northerly regional strike under thick blanket of glacial overburden.
