Geological Summary
The area is mainly underlain by andesite which in places can be basaltic or agglomeratic. Andesite breccia also occurs locally. Epidote alteration of the volcanics is common in places. Dioites, monzonites and syenites have also been mapped. Pyrite and minor chalcopyrite are present in some of the altered andesite sections and locally form manssive blebs and lenses.
