Geological Summary
The geology of the property is characterized by limestone of the Triassic Quatsino Formation which has been intruded by granitic rocks of the Island Intrusions and overlain and intruded by Jurassic Bonanza Group mafic to felsic volcanic rocks. The intruded limestone has undergone contact metamorphism and metasomatism resulting from the intrusion and extrusion of the volcanic and intrusive rocks. Numerous silver, lead, zinc, copper and gold occurrences associated with arsenopyrite and other sulphide mineralization have been located on adjacent Crown Grants. These include areas of shearing and silicification in volcanic and/or areas of metasomatic alteration of limestone (skarn development).
