Geological Summary
The property is part of Stikine terrane which hosts precious metal deposits which are underlain predominantly by Permian and pre Upper Triassic limestones, clastic sediments and volcanic rocks which have been intruded by Upper Jurassic diorite and Cretaceous to Tertiary Sloko Group rocks consisting of felsic volcanic flows and pyroclastics. Pervasive epidote and yellow green alteration occurs below Level Mountain Group basalts and Hearts Peak pyroclastics and epiclastics. The basalt contact is gossanous. Pervasive iron carbonate alteration zone strikes north and dips west. Gold and silver with occasional chalcopyrite, pyrite and galena, sphalerite, molybdenum, arsenopyrite and mercury occurs in several zones. Sulphides occur in quartz carbonate vein structure and in surrounding stockwork and alteration halos in silicified limestone, in shear zones and siliceous breccias.
