| Geological Summary |
Mesozoic volcanic flows are sandwiched between volcaniclastic sediments. This package dips to the northeast. The basal sedimentary unit has been intruded by a dioritic stock causing local hornfelsing. Moderate regional metamorphism has converted some of the sediments to phyllites. Gold is concentrated in east-west shear zones.
