Geological Summary |
Mesozoic volcanic flow rocks between volcaniclastic sediments dip to the northeast. The basal sedimentary unit has been intruded by a dioritic stock causing local hornfelsing. Moderate regional metamorphism has converted some of the sediments to phyllites. Gold is concentrated in east-west striking shear zones.
