Geological Summary
Gold and silver-bearing epithermal quartz veins are highly mineralized with arsenopyrite and pyrite and locally minor chalco- pyrite and malachite. The veins occupy north-northwest striking joint sets in a 200 by 300 metres wide silicified zone in sedimentary rocks at the contact with quartz diorite of the Coast Plutonic Complex. The sedimentary rocks are part of the Middle Jurassic to Upper Cretaceous Tyaughton Trough.
