Geological Summary
Near Blackdome Mountain, the rocks are composed of ignimbrites and possible ash-flows and lapilli tuffs, as well as volcanic and debris flows, ranging in composition from andesitic to rhyolitic. The entire sequence has been correlated with the Kamloops Group. Unconformally capping the Eocene rocks are basalt flows of Early Miocene or Late Oligocene age.
