Geological Summary
Northwest-southeast trending, folded, fractured, altered sediments with some intercalated tuffs. These rocks thought to be Permian or pre Upper Triassic in age are contacting on the northeast- southwest by andesitic volcanics. Alteration is as mainly siliceous, calcite and some chloritic. Precious metal values are thought to occur in the silicified sediments (argillaceous mudstone). There is a noticeable lack of sulphides where the anomalous gold values were encountered and in the outcrops in general that were examined.
