Geological Summary
The claims are underlain by mafic volcanic flows and pyroclastics, and sedimentary units of the Devonian-Mississippian Eagle Bay Formation. These rocks trend northwesterly and dip 44-60 degrees northeastward. Strike-slip faults are common and are parallel with and perpendicular to the schistosity and bedding. All rocks have undergone regional lower greenschist facies metamorphism.
