Geological Summary
A pendant of mafic volcanics and felsic intrusive rocks lies within the northern portion of the Nelson Batholith. The Aylwin pendant consists of a volcanic centre of intrusive breccia, ring dykes and radial dyke complexes. Current reserves are: 1) 3.4 million tonnes of 1.34 grams per tonne gold, 0.32 per cent copper, 4.8 grams per tonne silver; 2) 1.8 million tonnes of 2.93 grams per tonne gold, 0.66 per cent copper, 9.3 grams per tonne silver.
