Geological Summary
The property is underlain by basaltic volcanic rocks and limestone of the Triassic Karmutsen Formation, micritic limestone of the Triassic Quatsino Formation, shale of the Triassic Parson Bay Formation, quartz diorite and dacite of the Jurassic Island Intrusions, and diorite and marble possibly of the Jurassic Westcoast Complex. Chalcopyrite bearing skarns occur adjacent to dacite dykes in Quatsino Formation limestone and in calcareous basaltic tuff of the Karmutsen Formation.
